Something big just happened in the sales world.

Amazon closed a $38 billion computing deal with OpenAI to power the growing wave of ChatGPT queries.

In this issue of Stacked Seller, we’re covering 5 GPT prompts every B2B rep should be using.

We’ll wrap with a Reddit question of the week and a sales meme to keep the AI theme going.

LFG!

FEATURE

*Note: I get it. Some companies block GPT. Run these on whatever LLM your IT team lets you use.

1/ Jeez, slow down

LLMs are wired to answer fast.

And when you don’t give them enough context, they fill in the blanks by guessing – known as hallucination.

That’s fine when the stakes are low, like asking the capital of Eswatini (yes, that’s a real country).

But not when you’re researching a prospect’s business or negotiating a competitive deal.

Here’s how you fix it…

Prompt: “Accuracy matters more than speed. Ask clarifying questions first, then give the final answer.”

2/ Explain It Like I’m 10

LLMs assume you have an intermediate knowledge of whatever topic you’re discussing.

But when you’re selling into complex industries – healthcare, fintech, logistics – you’re often dealing with problems way outside your area of expertise.

So if you’re a noob, this prompt helps GPT get on your level and dumb things down.

Prompt: “Explain this to me like a 5th grader.”

3/ Battle Card mode

Every rep’s been there.

You’re up against a competitor on a deal, and Product Marketing hasn't built the official battle card yet.

You want to know where you outshine them and why your solution is the obvious choice.

Use this prompt to see how you stack up on features, pricing, and positioning.

You can go even deeper and ask GPT to tailor the advantages (and disadvantages) for the business you’re selling to.

Prompt: “I’m selling DocuSign to a logistics company. They’re also evaluating Adobe Sign. What are the advantages of going with DocuSign?”

4/ Play devil’s advocate

LLMs have a strong bias for being agreeable.

They can validate bad logic – even when you’re dead wrong.

That’s a problem when you need ideas challenged.

This prompt forces GPT to stop being a yes-man and stress-test your logic.

Prompt: “I’m considering [decision]. Play devil’s advocate and poke holes in my thinking.”

5/ Avoid This Dead Giveaway

You know the quickest way to tell if something was written with AI?

An em dash “—” (not to be confused with an en dash “–”).

GPT loves them and readers are catching on.

The moment someone sees one, they think lazy writing.

So if you're using GPT to polish your emails, use this prompt to sound more human.

Prompt: “Fix the grammar and punctuation in this message. Don't use em dashes.”

That’s it.

5 prompts you can start using today.

If you don’t, you’re already falling behind.

Because AI won’t replace you.

But the rep using it will.

REDDIT QUESTION OF THE WEEK

What’s the fastest way to improve presentation and communication skills?

Record yourself.

Whether it’s a demo, discovery call, or just practice. Hit record.

Then comes the hard part… Rewatch it.

Look for:

  • Filler words (um, like, you know)

  • Pacing issues (too fast? too slow?)

  • Monologues (rambling? being concise?)

Then run it back. Practice, record, repeat.

Yes, listening to yourself is awkward at first – but your presentation skills will improve shockingly fast.
